Western North Dakota Area Health Education Center (AHEC)
Thank you for visiting the Western North Dakota Area Health Education Center (AHEC). The Western North Dakota AHEC works to recruit, educate and sustain health professionals in rural North Dakota. We are “Connecting students to careers, professionals to communities, and communities to better health.”
The Western North Dakota AHEC is contracted with Mayville State University, but housed in Hettinger, North Dakota. The Western North Dakota AHEC serves 25 counties.

- North Dakota Area Health Education Center Scrubs Academy 2
August 4 - 6, 2013
Bismarck State College Campus, Bismarck, ND with activities taking place at Sanford’s Campus and St. Alexius Medical Center. Open to North Dakota students who will have completed grades 9, 10, and 11
This Scrubs Academy is a two day/two night camp with check in on Sunday evening, August 4th, 6:00 pm. Students will sleep in the dorms at Bismarck State College both nights.
This Scrubs Academy encourages high school students from across North Dakota to pursue a career in health care. Students participate in hands-on activities and receive information relating to a variety of health care professions.
The North Dakota AHEC Scrubs Academy 2 is a project in partnership with the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
